Summer is coming and with it, the desire to enjoy the sun and the heat as much as possible. Being Canada a country with almost 8 months of cold, the few days that we have temperatures above 25 degrees, they are treasured as a treasure! These days, there is something that people can not stop doing: swimming! Whether on the beach (or lake), or the pool, swimming is a hobby that every generation enjoys. Both adults and children put on their swimsuits and have fun in the water, also as a way to stay cool in the high temperatures of July and August. There is nothing more fun to do in the summer than a pool party, where all our friends and family can relax and enjoy the heat, with good food and music in the background. Like any other event, there are certain things to do and not do when it comes to organizing a pool party. For example, send some nice invitations to attract guests, serve light food and offer snacks for those who just want to snack a bit. When it comes to group parties, there is one thing that makes it different from a regular party: security. Pool parties, although fun, have an element of danger in them. You must have enough floats and vests children or for those who can not swim. Also a first aid kit, as well as sunscreen to prevent serious burns. DO IT: have a first aid kit on hand. It sounds exaggerated but it is necessary, especially if there are children around. It does not have to be something very elaborate, with Band-Aids, antiallergics, acetaminophen and a couple of other things, you'll be covered. DO NOT DO IT: forget the decoration. An important part of offering an incredible party, is the decoration that you give to the site. It's about providing an environment. Torches, palm trees, everything that turns your pool into a tourist destination. If you are looking for something different, you can make an elegant party, with black and white colors and golden or silver touches, where guests should arrive with themed suits and the food that you serve is elegant too. DO IT: offer sunscreen to your guests. Prepare a small station with sunscreen and aloe vera in gel or cream. Remember, especially children, apply protector every so often. DO NOT DO IT: exaggerate alcohol consumption. Naturally, a party is a good place for adult drinks. But let's not exaggerate. Be careful and avoid excessive alcohol consumption to prevent major accidents or dehydration. DO IT: offers clean towels. Most guests will bring their own towels, but if you want to add extra detail to your pool party, have a basket full of clean towels. They will thank you for giving them something comfortable after swimming. DO NOT DO IT: leave the children unattended. When there is a party, it is easy for all the children to run together and have fun. But do not overlook your smallest guests. Be sure to watch the children while they swim to avoid accidents. DO IT: serve snacks and light foods. A party at the pool is still a party, so there is a certain expectation of food, but try to keep it light. Nobody wants to feel heavy while having fun in a bikini. Provides light snacks and foods that can be eaten with the hands to keep people sated. DO NOT DO IT: swim after eating. It is not about waiting 30 minutes or 1 hour after eating, but sometimes, it can be very difficult to stay out of the pool when everyone is having fun. Try to avoid the pool for at least 10 minutes, just to make the stomach settle a little. DO IT: keep your guests hydrated. It offers alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Although there are many games to be done in a pool, people will need drinks to keep themselves fed. Prepare a station with a wide variety of drinks, from liquors, soft drinks and juices to water and soda. DO NOT DO IT: forget the shadow. Sauces, vegetables and fruits can not sit in the sun. Wherever the food is, make sure you have some shade covering it and a lot of ice in the kitchen. Your guests will not only enjoy more of the food, but they will be grateful to be able to leave the hot sun for a few minutes. Do you have any other idea? I would love to read it!
