Planning a Halloween party for your children and their friends? Here we leave some tips so that you and the other parents also enjoy the event.

1. Invitations Make spooky invitations. To save money, make your own paper invitations in the form of pumpkins, tombstones, black bats and witch's brooms. Create these invitations using posters and templates in black or white. After cutting out these Halloween-inspired shapes, write the details of the party on the back of the cutouts with a silver or gold metallic pen.

2. Costumes Get ready for a Halloween costume party! Ask the guests to dress up in their most frightening costumes or wear masks. While children will be happy to wear costumes on Halloween, do not forget your parents. If you give prizes for the best costume, all the party guests will put more thought into their attire. Encourage those who do not want to disguise themselves to stay and play. Fill a small container with oversized hats, scary masks, fake clown noses or funny plastic glasses so that guests can use and enjoy the party.

3. Decoration Decorate your front yard for an evil welcome. Hang ghosts of white paper from the branches of your tree and put cardboard tombstones to decorate your garden. Glue a black and white paper skeleton to the front door. Change the bulbs of the entrance lights for red and orange to create a more spooky atmosphere. Hang a spider web on the porch using strings of white Christmas lights. Do not forget to hang small black spiders of white lights! If you're going to serve buffet-style food, cover the tables with dark satin tablecloths. Customize the table with fake black crows, bird nests and small silver pumpkins painted with spray. For the center of the table, fill a tall white vase with small trunks of the garden. Also, tie plastic spiders at the end of the sticks with white and black thread to give a more fun touch. Decorate the roof with shapes of bats and black cats of construction paper. Top these cuts from the ceiling with white floss and clear tape.

4. Food and Drink If you are going to serve a punch, let it be inside a large pumpkin. Make sure the snacks and treats look macabre! Prepare sausage fingers with ketchup to look like blood, cover a pretzel with white frosting and glue a pair of eyes to look like mummies. If you're going to make a cake or serve little puddings, decorate them as scary as possible!
