The Toronto coastline is on the verge of rebuilding thanks to government support.   At a press conference last month, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, along with Mayor John Tory and other leading figures, announced that they would be giving $ 1.185 billion to the Toronto Waterfront.   This money will be used for flood protection, the cleaning of contaminated soils, which according to a press release, will help lay the foundations for transforming the underutilized industrial area into a vibrant and resilient community of the center.   The federal government will contribute $ 384 million while the Province and the City will each put more than $ 400 million in the project. In September, Toronto received $ 65 million to start protecting and cleaning Port Lands.   Flood protection in Port Lands should take seven years to complete, but it will open the area to major redevelopment plans that can only be fully advanced after addressing existing environmental problems.   We hope that all this investment yields its fruits and we can continue to enjoy a clean, advanced and world-renowned city.   If you have any doubts or would like to contribute an idea, comment below and I will gladly assist you.
